Chandler police on Wednesday arrested a 48-year old doctor from Gilbert on suspicion of sexual assault and abuse last year.
Court records appear to show a pattern of behavior with patients.
Dr. Hassan Khan has specialized in treating kidneys since 2008, and he practiced at multiple East Valley hospitals, according to his office website.
Within a span of three weeks, the court records allege that Khan initiated sexual contact with two patients during exams: one patient reportedly called Chandler police the next day; the other went on to have a consensual sexual relationship and later told police.
Jail records show Khan has been released on a $75,000 bond.
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will decide whether to charge him.
