The cableway at Hoover Dam in Arizona.

The Hoover Dam has reopened to visitors after closing for several days for repairs to its cableway system.

A cableway carriage moved unexpectedly earlier this week and was suspended over the main access road. Maintenance teams have inspected and corrected the issue.

The 150-ton system is used to move large equipment and materials across the river between the Nevada and Arizona sides of the powerplant.
