Maricopa County’s emergency repair program is looking to keep people safe during the hot summer months, including AC fixes.
The county has helped more than 700 households since the program began in 2021, and the program isn’t just solely focused on air conditioning units, but all types of necessary home improvements.
"This program is designed for more of those individuals that are lower on that income, and may not be able to afford some of these home improvements," said Interim Human Services director Jayson Matthews.
Matthews says the program works with multiple vendors, which can result in a quick turnaround time for applications.
