In the past week, gas prices in Arizona have gone down 4 cents on average, while the national average has gone up by a nickel.

AAA Arizona spokesperson Julian Paredes says local prices may be rising as soon as July 4 travel ramps up.

"Oil prices have gone up about $80 a barrel. We don’t know how long it’s going to last but there’s more reasons to think gas prices are going to start heading upwards slowly for the next few weeks," Paredes said.

He also says the most expensive gas in Arizona is in Graham County at $3.86. The cheapest is in La Paz at $3.33.
