T'Azia Spencer
Intern | [email protected]T'Azia Spencer joined KJZZ News as an intern in May 2025.
You may recognize her from one of the neighboring Walgreens pharmacies in Peoria or Anthem. For the past five years, Spencer has worked as a pharmacy technician, where she has been the first point of contact for patients' prescription needs and is certified to administer COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
Since the impact of COVID-19 has waned, Spencer has directed her attention to public speaking and is determined to get involved in other meaningful ways that bring positivity back into the community.
She is a junior at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School in Phoenix and is expected to graduate in fall of 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication.
While at KJZZ, she plans to share the most relevant stories of the Valley so that others will listen intently.
One of Spencer 's favorite quotes is from former President Theodore Roosevelt: "He has got to have the spirit that when he meets difficulties he does not feel badly and want to go home, but sets out to overcome them and trample them down and win success in spite of them.”
With that in mind, she hopes to lead with an increasing level of courageousness in her work.
