Attorney General Kris Mayes has been busy suing the Trump administration — she’s averaging about a lawsuit per week since President Donald Trump took office again in January.

Mayes has been part of a coalition of Democratic attorneys general fighting the Trump administration’s aggressive efforts to enact the president’s agenda.

KJZZ’s Prickly podcast recently sat down with Mayes to discuss the merits of filing so many cases; the criticism from Republicans who say Arizonans – who overwhelmingly voted for Trump in 20224 – want the president’s agenda enacted; and what precedent the Democrat is setting for future attorneys general.
