A judge has rejected Rudy Giuliani’s claim that the grand jurors who indicted him in the so-called “fake electors” case in Arizona were politically biased.

The judge said the claim was based on nothing but speculation and conjecture.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Bruce Cohen did order the Arizona Attorney General’s Office to investigate the availability of political affiliation in those grand jurors however.

Cohen said he would only then decide if there is basis to hear Giuliani’s claim.

Giuliani was an attorney for former President Donald Trump and is among those charged with attempting to send 11 Republicans to cast Arizona’s electoral college votes for Trump instead of President Joe Biden in 2020.

A spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office said political affiliation is not gathered when a grand jury is empaneled.
