Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly says he’s getting rid of his Tesla on Friday because it now reminds him of Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.

“Elon Musk kind of turned out to be an a-shole ... so looking forward to my new ride,” Kelly said. Kelly said.

Kelly said there are some things he liked about the car, but it’s not worth it to drive a Tesla anymore and getting rid of it feels like the right thing to do.

He cited the mass firings Musk is spearheading as the head of the new federal DOGE committee, which includes the firing of veterans like Kelly.

“It’s one bad thing after the next he’s firing veterans, I'm a veteran so I have a really hard time driving around in this thing. I think it’s time for an upgrade today so this is going to be my last, last trip in this car,” Kelly said.

There has been a recent trend of Tesla owners like Kelly who disapprove of Musk’s policies, selling their cars.
