Failed Arizona gubernatorial and U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake says she’s working to save taxpayer dollars as senior adviser to the U.S. Agency for Global Media.
The Trump appointee posted a video online touting cost-cutting measures as the agency’s 1,300 Voice of America employees were put on leave. Her video was made at a building leased by VOA.
"I know that every one of you out there is working hard, and parting with your tax dollars, you’re expecting it to be used wisely, not misused and mismanaged. And I can tell you that this building is a colossal waste of money," Lake said.
In a statement last year, the agency said the lease would save the federal government $150 million over 15 years.
Lake hasn’t sworn off another run for office in Arizona.
