In an interview describing actions the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, is taking, Elon Musk reiterated his comment about Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, a Democrat, being a traitor to the United States.
Musk’s reiteration came after Kelly posted on social media about his support for Ukraine and the continuance of U.S. military aid.
“Well, I think somebody should care about the interests of the United States above the interests of another country, and if they don’t, they’re a traitor," he said.
Kelly responded by saying he doesn’t take the allegation seriously, and that standing with Ukraine is in the best interest of the United States.
“I mean, who is Elon standing with at this point? A bunch of billionaires. It seems to me that some folks in the administration, sort of, switched sides here," he said. "I would put Elon, at this point, in the category of being much closer to Russia.”
The Musk-Kelly feud started last month but was rekindled earlier in March when Musk called the senator a traitor for visiting Ukraine.
