Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs doubled down on her pledge to work with anyone to do what is right for Arizona, even President Donald Trump.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, Hobbs said she has plenty of experience working across the aisle as Arizona governor.

“I’ve been able to deliver a lot of bipartisan wins, and those wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn't willing to work with anyone because we have a Republican majority in the Legislature,” she said.

Hobbs has taken a measured approach to the Trump administration so far. It’s a stark contrast to the aggressive resistance other prominent Democrats are engaging in.

Hobbs did say that even though she agrees that criminals should be deported, she does believe that the Trump administration is crossing a line.

“In America we have a process that includes due process, and that is what is missing in this equation,” she said of Trump’s deportation operation.
