An ally of President Donald Trump called for the execution of Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, a threat the Democratic lawmaker says he’s taking seriously.
Republican operative Roger Stone accused Kelly of treason for co-sponsoring a bill to ban the president, vice president and their immediate family members from issuing, endorsing or sponsoring crypto assets.
If convicted, Stone wrote on X that Kelly should be executed, “consistent with federal law.”

“What Roger Stone said is really, really dangerous,” Kelly said. “My wife Gabby Giffords was nearly assassinated – she was shot in the head. Political violence is a real thing, and they’re trying to make it worse.”
Kelly says it should be illegal for Trump to cash in on his own cryptocurrency, the $TRUMP meme coin, while in the White House.
