Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly says he’s waiting for Republican colleagues to hold President Donald Trump to his constitutional oath.
Kelly spoke about conversations with fellow senators on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." In a wide-ranging discussion aired Monday night, Kelly said presidents have enormous power that can sometimes go outside the bounds of law.
And he said Republican colleagues have privately expressed their desire to curb Trump’s conduct.
"I wish. Every day I show up in Washington and wish that today is the day that somebody’s going to grow a spine and do something publicly," Kelly said.
Kelly made the comments in the course of discussing a recent social media post, where Trump told U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to go after his political enemies.
