It’s the last day for voters in Congressional District 7 to cast their ballots in the special election to select a new representative to replace the late Congressman Raúl Grijalva.

Democrat Adelita Grijalva and Republican Daniel Butierez are on the ballot in CD7, a blue district covering a large stretch of southern Arizona, from Yuma in the west to parts of Tucson, Nogales and Douglas.

Green Party candidate Eduardo Quintana and No Labels candidate Richard Grayon, who has run protest campaigns across the country for decades, are also on the ballot.

While CD7 mostly covers southern Arizona, the northern edge of the district reaches a small part of Maricopa County. Those voters can cast their votes or drop off early ballots at vote centers throughout the district until 7 p.m.

According to the Maricopa County Elections Department, there are eight vote centers in the county, including at Avondale City Hall, Tolleson Civic Center and Gila Bend School District.

A full list of vote centers is available on the county’s website.

The winner of the special election will finish Raúl Grijalva’s term, which ends in 2026.
