Cindy McCain had a mild stroke this week. The 71-year-old widow of Sen. John McCain is said to be recovering well, according to a statement from the U.N. World Food Program, which she oversees.
McCain will be traveling from Rome back home to Arizona to focus on her recuperation.
She’s expected to return to her post after doctors clear her in four to six weeks.
