Citywide emergency response times by the Phoenix Fire Department are better than the national standard in critical situations requiring an ambulance.
This is according to a presentation scheduled for Wednesday’s public safety subcommittee meeting.
However, citywide emergency response times are above the national standard in three other categories.
New sales tax revenue aims to cut those times by hiring more firefighters.
