Governors from across the western United States are coming to the Valley this week to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing their states.
The Western Governors Association winter meeting officially kicks off Wednesday in Paradise Valley, with most public policy and keynote events scheduled for Thursday.
According to the WGA, the event will include public policy talks with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Those talks will feature a bipartisan group of western governors, including Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs and Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, who chairs the WGA.
The meeting will also feature discussions about energy needs in the growing data center industry, a federal program to expand high speed internet access, and the future of the Farm Bill.
