The U.S House Oversight committee passed legislation to exclude non-citizens from the census that happens every 10 years.

Committee member Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs says he thinks there could be consequences for his state but is for the bill. A tense exchange ensued between Biggs and Florida Democrat Maxwell Frost.

Biggs speaks first: “My state has nine representatives. Will we lose some, my guess is we might lose one..."

Frost speaks over Biggs:  “The Constitution is clear that we count persons regardless of status...”

“OK," Biggs speaks over Frost, "from now on when you’re talking I will interrupt you.”

This bill would require a citizenship question beginning in 2030, then limit census takers to just counting citizens.
