Valley Metro has scheduled a virtual public meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday, plus more in January, to update route options for a light rail expansion to the State Capitol and beyond.
Officials say a 10-mile westward extension will connect the existing system with the greater West Valley via trains that will travel in the median of Interstate 10.
The Phoenix City Council is expected to take action in late January.
