Arizona’s Kris Mayes is among 22 attorneys general going after Uber in a federal lawsuit against the ride-hailing company.

The AGs are accusing the company of misleading consumers over its Uber One subscription service. The lawsuit alleges Uber exaggerated potential savings, charged customers before free trials ended and made it difficult to cancel subscriptions.

In a statement, Mayes said “Arizonans are fed up with big tech companies using deception to lock them into subscriptions and making it nearly impossible to cancel.”

Mayes is seeking restitution as well as penalties, costs and an injunction against Uber for alleged violations of Arizona’s Consumer Protection Act and the U.S. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act.

If you believe you have been a victim of consumer fraud or unfair practices, you can file a consumer complaint by visiting the Attorney General’s website at www.azag.gov/consumer.
