A Republican congressman in Arizona is sticking to his guns about the Iran war.
Asked by AZPM on Monday whether he believes the war has been worth it, U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani said the conflict is “very close to being over.”
“This is something that the whole world talked about needed to be done, for generations and for decades. And no one ever did anything about it, and now President Trump took the action. The world is a safer place without the Iranian regime that was there. And this process is coming to an end very close here. We’re going to see the benefits in the long run,” Ciscomani said at a veterans’ roundtable event with VA Secretary Doug Collins in Tucson.
He did not specify why he believes the conflict is almost over. Ciscomani represents Arizona’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
