Arizona’s Mark Kelly spent Labor Day in New Hampshire, further fueling speculation that the Democratic senator could run for president in 2028.
Kelly’s campaign stops came at a key time for New Hampshire voters, who will cast ballots in the state’s primary election Tuesday. At an event in Manchester, New Hampshire, Kelly attacked the Trump administration for overseeing an economy he says works well for rich elites, but not working-class Americans.
“It’s not that hard work stopped mattering. It’s just that your hard work now makes somebody else rich,” Kelly said Monday. “You’re still generating wealth. It just goes into somebody else’s bank account.”
“It’s working for the people making the rules,” Kelly added. “And those are the rich, the powerful, the predators in the Epstein files, the people who kiss Donald Trump’s a**.”
When asked by MS NOW if campaigning in New Hampshire — a key early primary state for Democratic presidential hopefuls — was a sign he’d run for higher office, Kelly said “I don’t know yet … Maybe.”
