Arizona Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly had strong words for President Donald Trump following his visit with a group of tech executives on Tuesday.
"Donald Trump obviously likes to surround himself with billionaires," he told MS Now. "I mean, that's what that group is, a lot of AI executives and just tech executives who are going to benefit from this technology probably more than anybody else."
Kelly was pushing his Make AI Work for Americans Act, which he says would make sure tech companies pay their fair share and invest in American workers if they start losing their jobs.
"They have the money, they have the resources, they're going to benefit, but the American people have to benefit too," he said.
Tech leaders including those from Anthropic, Meta and Open AI met with Trump and agreed to sign an accord to “self-police” AI development.
