Air pollution hanging over metro Phoenix.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a high pollution advisory in Phoenix for Friday, July 10.

Officials say those most vulnerable are children, older adults and those with certain heart or lung conditions. People should also use caution while exercising.

Officials say storms in the southern part of the state and Mexico kicked up dust that moved into the Valley area Friday morning, lingering into this evening.

Over the weekend, air quality should improve and the dust should lessen.
