Social media specialist
KJZZ is looking for a part-time social media specialist to assist the newsroom and all areas of Rio Salado's Division of Public Service in campaigns that build brand awareness and loyalty. The Division of Public Service is home to three award-winning public radio stations — KJZZ, KBACH and Sun Sounds of Arizona — in addition to the SPOT 127 Youth Media Center and Hear Arizona podcasts.
We're looking for a creative self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The social media specialist will work closely with both the development department and KJZZ’s newsroom to create and distribute a variety of original content that both showcases divison initatives and informs listeners of the benefits of becoming a sustaining member.
The social media producer's duties will includes:
→ Content creation, including writing copy and designing visuals (photos, infographics, videos).
→ Planning and executing social media strategy.
→ Organizing and scheduling social campaigns on various platforms.
→ Monitoring and recording audience enagagment and anayltics.
→ Other duties as assigned.
Candidates should have a background in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations and/or social media. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about a variety of platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Experience managing professional brand accounts and graphic design skills preferred. Video production and editing experience is a plus.
The position is based in Tempe, Arizona; $14.70-$16.20 per hour, depending on experience; up to 19.5 hours per week.
