The Show holiday tradition continues: Drinking eggnog that's a couple years old

December is a month full of fun holiday drinks. There’s hot chocolate, peppermint mochas, and, of course, egg nog.

A few years ago, The Show’s executive producer Amy Silverman heard that the alcohol in eggnog could kill salmonella, making it safe to drink weeks later.

So, is it safe to drink homemade egg nog that’s been sitting in the back of the fridge for one, even two years?

Now, the scientists testing this theory at Rockefeller University didn’t actually drink their experiment, so it’s become a tradition for The Show to run its own.
