This Saturday, the Loft Cinema is hosting a free outdoor screening of "A Star is Born" in Sonoita, Arizona, right where the 1976 version of the film was shot.
You may remember the 2018 movie with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, but the first movie came out in 1937, with Janet Gaynor in the lead role.
The 1976 remake stars Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. It was filmed partly in LA, and partly in the Arizona desert, including a pivotal scene shot at Arizona State University's Sun Devil Stadium with a crowd of nearly 50,000 extras.
Viewers can pull up a chair at Empire Ranch in Sonoita at sunset to watch "A Star is Born" as part of the historic ranch’s classic Western movie showings.
