If you love fly fishing and are looking for something to do this weekend, you're in luck.
The 19th annual Fly Fishing Film Tour, or F3T, will be at Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix on Sunday.
If you don’t know, fly fishing uses a heavy rod and a light lure, rather than a light rod and a heavy lure, and a specific type of lure called a fly. The flies are designed to mimic insects or other small aquatic creatures. You can fly fish anywhere that you’d be allowed to fish with a regular rod.
This year’s program includes 19 films. There’s "Dan’s Pain 2," which is about a man who has had so little luck with fly fishing that he thinks he’s cursed. Two different films follow athletes who turned to fly fishing after quitting their sport.
If you’re wondering why so many people are into fly fishing, the film "Hooked" unpacks the fabled question: Amongst the madness of life, why are we obsessed with fly fishing?
