Spared yourself from Black Friday / Cyber Monday / Never-Ending Holiday sales?

Buying locally across Phoenix and Arizona in-person has never been easier — and is something AI can’t do!

Over the next few weeks, there are several holiday and artist markets that can take care of your gift list.

Dec. 5 | Dusk Market | 5 to 10 p.m. | @ The Icehouse, 429 W. Jackson St, Phoenix

On Friday evening, downtown Phoenix’s Icehouse will be packed with more than 100 vendors, performers, and culinary pop-ups. The historic building has a long local history as a studio and gallery space with plenty of side rooms and hidden nooks. Be on the lookout for photobooths, aura readers, and live screen printers.

Dec. 5-7 | A Very Vintage Christmas Market | @ Rawhide Event Center, 5244 S 48th St, Chandler

If you want to impress a friend who’s very good at thrifting or loves all-things-vintage, head to Chandler for vintage and vintage-inspired outdoor market with home decor, vintage clothing and art.

Dec. 6 | ASU School of Art Open Studio + Holiday Sale | 12 to 5 p.m. | @ Grant Street Studios 605 E Grant St, Phoenix

ASU MFA candidates and professors will host an open studio on Saturday with art for sale at Downtown’s Grant Street Studios. The former cotton factory was converted by ASU and now houses student workspaces and galleries.

Dec. 12 | Phoestivus | 4 to 10 p.m. | @ 455 N 3rd Street, Phoenix

The festival returns for its 16th year in a new location at the Arizona Center. The outdoor market will still have its traditional Phoestivus Pole, Pheats of Strength competition and the Airing of Grievances (all in good humor), plus vendors, food trucks, and lots of shopping.

Dec. 12 | Holiday Sunset Market | 5 to 8 p.m. | @ 1 N Macdonald, Mesa

Head to downtown Mesa to see the monthly Sunset Market take on a holiday twist. Main Street will be decked out with decoration and the market will be home to craft vendors and food trucks and stands.

Dec. 13-14 | Art & Objects Holiday Market | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. | @ Rocking S Ranch 3131 E Sheridan St, Phoenix

For a smaller, curated art experience, head to Rocking S Art Ranch in Phoenix to find fine art, ceramics, photography, jewelry, painting, prints and fiber arts pieces from local artists. Warm beverages provided.

Dec. 13 | Sonoita Small Town Christmas | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | @ Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 3142 Arizona 83, Sonoita

Looking for a festive excuse to hit the road? Southern Arizona’s Sonoita will host a Small Town Christmas market with local artists, food vendors, and a talent show.

Dec. 13-14 | S'edav Va'aki Museum Indian Market | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | @ S'edav Va'aki Museum (Formerly Pueblo Grande Museum), 4619 E. Washington St., Phoenix

This year marks the 48th annual S’edav Va’aki Museum Indian Market, an outdoor cultural event and market with authentic and verified Native fine art and crafts. Live music and performance will take the stage, along with art demonstrations and storytelling.

Dec. 19 | Flipside | 3 to 8 p.m. (21+) | @ Gracie’s Tax Bar, Phoenix

The downtown Phoenix dive bar will host an outdoor market on their patio with a selection of small businesses and artists. Expect vintage clothing and handmade goods, as well as live music, screen printing, and a matcha cart.

Dec. 21 | Slacker Gift Market | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. @ 901 N. Central Ave, Phoenix

If you still have shopping to do the weekend before Christmas (no judgement here), the Slacker Market in Phoenix is a go-to. The annual warehouse pop-up hosts vintage vendors, local artists, and live music to help you knock ‘em out.
